Ticket… what? TicketBAI!

It’s the Basque provincial tax offices’ system to make sure every invoice is authentic: it’s signed, carries a TBAI identifier and a QR code, and is reported to the provincial tax office when issued.

It’s now mandatory in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa for freelancers and businesses. You invoice as usual: FacturaDirecta does the rest!

Every invoice

What FacturaDirecta does for you

When you save an invoice as final, all of this happens by itself:

Creates the TicketBAI file

With all the invoice’s tax data, in the format required by the provincial tax offices.

Signs it

With your digital certificate, which you choose just once.

Adds its TBAI and QR

The TBAI identifier and the QR code appear on the PDF, so your customer can check the invoice.

Sends it to your tax office

Right away, to the provincial tax office that applies to you. In Bizkaia, to the LROE.

Retries if needed

If the tax office service doesn’t respond, we keep the submission and retry it automatically. You don’t have to issue the invoice again.

Keeps it in sight

Each invoice shows you the submission status, the TBAI and the QR; the activity log shows every step.

FAQ

We answer your questions

Answers to the most common questions about TicketBAI, Batuz and FacturaDirecta.

Freelancers and businesses that pay tax to the Basque provincial tax offices. In Álava and Gipuzkoa it’s called TicketBAI; in Bizkaia it’s part of Batuz, which adds the LROE. Navarre has its own rules, and the rest of Spain uses VeriFactu.

TicketBAI is the invoicing part: signing every invoice, adding its TBAI and QR and sending it. Batuz is Bizkaia’s system, which includes TicketBAI plus the Economic Operations Register (LROE), where your purchases and expenses can go too.

Your own, valid and in .p12 or .pfx format: a personal certificate, a legal entity representative certificate or an Izenpe device certificate. Unlike VeriFactu, FacturaDirecta’s certificate can’t be used here. We explain it in our help centre (in Spanish).

Yes, if you use an Izenpe one. In Álava and Bizkaia, before you start sending; in Gipuzkoa, within a month of your first invoice. With your personal or company certificate you usually don’t need to.

Not freely: what’s been sent to the tax office doesn’t change. If it has a mistake, issue a corrective invoice. That’s why we recommend reviewing your invoices as drafts before saving them as final.

FacturaDirecta keeps the submission and retries it automatically for 24 hours. Don’t issue the invoice again: you’ll see every attempt in its activity log.

No. FacturaDirecta issues your invoices with TicketBAI and, in Bizkaia, takes your records to the LROE, but it doesn’t file provincial tax forms such as 140 or 111. For those, use your tax office’s channels or ask your advisor.
